Amanda is a dedicated Ally Navigator at Trial Library. She joined Trial Library with extensive patient care experience as a Registered Nurse. Amanda has dedicated her career to serving vulnerable populations through community organizing and engagement.
Amanda previously worked at the Jacksonville Center for Clinical Research for approximately ten years. There, she operated clinical trials for patients with heart disease, autoimmune disorders, fatty liver disease, and other conditions. She worked extensively in early phase clinical trials programs as well, specifically providing comprehensive nursing care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Aside from a passion for science, the long-term meaningful relationships she forged with patients drove her to continue to work at the intersection of clinical research and patient care.
Amanda joined Trial Library in order to leverage the company's innovative data-driven strategy to guide new patients through their clinical trial journeys. She feels honored to assist in making cancer treatment studies accessible to individuals who might not have considered this option, while also alleviating the logistical burdens of trial participation.
In her role, Amanda focuses on providing navigation support to patients referred to oncology clinical trials. The Ally Navigators at Trial Library practice cultural humility and connect patients to resources that can mitigate the social and economic challenges of clinical trial participation, such as travel expenses and lodging near research facilities.
When she is not navigating patients with cancer, Amanda enjoys time with her family in the picturesque Ozarks, where she resides with her husband and their three-year-old son. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, the beach, and good food. Trial Library is thrilled to have Amanda as part of the team, contributing to a more equitable and accelerated approach to clinical trials.
