He is the past trustee for the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC).

Dr. Patel is a practicing medical oncologist, board certified in Hematology, Oncology, and Internal Medicine. He has been working directly with cancer patients for the last twenty years. He has served as chairman of several committees in numerous South Carolina hospitals.

He has been an advisor for large payers including DHHS (SC), Palmetto GBA, and serves on an advisory board for Medicaid HMOs.

Dr. Patel joined as an advisor to Trial Library because he believes in our mission. Dr. Patel shared that, “Trial Library addresses the pain points experienced in community oncology settings that lead to inefficiency, inequity, and limited access to clinical trials. Through a combination of technology, integrated technology services, as well as a reimbursement platform, Trial Library is uniquely tackling clinical research and well-positioned to be a global leader in oncology clinical trial recruitment. Many providers in community-based settings are interested in participating in research but are not given the necessary support. Trial Library’s solutions finally engage providers in a sustainable manner. I am honored to join as an advisor, to have CBCCA as a participating practice in the Trial Library provider network. I am heartened to know that Trial Library will make a tremendous impact for so many patients with cancer.”
